Principal's Message

Valley Oak High School is a WASC Accredited School  - Your 1st Choice at a 2nd Chance to find your Genius!!

Valley Oak High School is an accredited educational option for 16- to 18-year-old students who need an alternative setting and/or an alternative pathway to complete their graduation requirements. VOHS teachers and administrators are committed to helping students achieve academic and social/emotional growth through the three R's - Relationships, Relevance and Rigor – in a safe and welcoming culture that emphasizes Compassion, Respect, Safety and Responsibility.

VOHS students must earn 180 credits to earn their diploma.  The majority of our 320 students we enrolled throughout the year, arrived with credit deficiencies, yet they will graduate on time, continue as a 5th year senior or transfer to Adult Education or other educational programs after their 12th grade year.  Students are enrolled in small accelerated innovative classes of no more than 20 learners.  Every VOHS student wanting to further his/her education has the same opportunities as any other Napa Valley Unified high school graduate; however, VOHS graduates wishing to attend a four-year university must begin his or her journey at a community college.

Come visit VOHS and see why we earned our second six-year WASC accreditation!

Maria Cisneros, Principal
